JErusalem day 2 - HIstorical side of JErusalem
The second day of our trip in Jerusalem was looking at the historical side of the city. We started off at the city of David where we had a tour of the area. We went down to the dry tunnels that used to be used as a water system and walked through them. It was about a five minutes walk through the narrow tunnels to come out at the bottom of a big hill we then had to climb back up.We then walked into the old city where we had to do a scavenger hunt around one area. My team won and we got a bookmark as a price. We then went for a cash lunch and I had a delicious burger. We then went shopping and I managed to find a can of air selling for 20 shekels. Very clever bisiness idea if you ask me! After this we went to The Davidson Center. This was donated in order to excavate some of the southern side of the Kotel. We went and saw an amazing animation showing a 3D reconstruction of the temple. It was really cool as the lady controlling it took us through all the streets as if we were walking through. We then went and saw the ruins of one of the mikvas outside the kotel and got on the bus back to the hotel.
